About the event
The Innaurgal Dinner Plain Sled Dog Sprint carries on the 20+ year tradition of alpine sled dog racing in Australia. A new race committee has come together and after COVID-19 prevented us from putting on the race in 2020 and 2021, we have the green light from the Alpine Shire to go ahead this year. Whilst there are some changes to the race format compared to previous years, we will use the same trails and commence racing at 9am for both heats of the race on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th August.

Please note that a condition of entry is for all dogs that are brought onsite at Dinner Plain by competitors must be vaccinated according to the Dinner Plain Sled Dog Sprint Race Rules. Please ensure you bring your vaccination certificates or evidence of Titre Tests for each dog that you bring. Random spot checks will be conducted over the race weekend and include microchip scan and visual check of the vaccination certificate by the Race Vet and/or DPSDS Committee representatives.
